Convention Schedule & App Now Available

ComiCon fans got a jump-start on Friday towards planning their trip to the upcoming September 23 Forest City Comicon featuring Project Play at the London Convention Centre.  Organizers released the hotly anticipated schedule for the fourth-annual show along with its accompanying schedule app (iOS, Android). The schedule features a wide range of activities and presentations for all ages, the overwhelming majority of which are included free of charge with admission.

The schedule and its accompanying app are available through the Forest City Comicon website: http://forestcitycomicon.ca/schedule/.

“The schedule app proved to be a must-have for convention goers last year,” explained committee member John Houghton. “Giving fans this tool to create their own customized convention experience makes sure they get the most value out of their admission and that they get see and do the most events and activities they want to be part of at the show.”

The show schedule includes a mix of special guests, local presenters, and interactive events spread throughout the day. For special guests, many fans are eager to see Lord of the Rings actor Billy Boyd, YouTube voice impressionist Brian Hull, Super Art Fight, and more. Local presentations include topics ranging from Puppet Manipulation, to Last-Minute Cosplay, to panels about writing and comic books. Interactive elements this year include a new Starship Bridge Simulator, WiiU Tournaments, and Virtual Reality exhibits. The event would also not be complete without the return of its most popular annual presentation: the free-to-enter Fanshawe College Cosplay Contest on the Randy Sheffield Investors Group Main Stage. Events will continue to be added to the schedule listing as convention day approaches.

Another new highlight on the schedule this year is a convention-wide puzzle “escape room” assembled by Exodus Escape Rooms London. Fans can register online for the event which will see them discover hidden clues spread throughout the London Convention Centre during the show, solve puzzles, and compete for the fastest completion time.

Advanced tickets, which offer discounted and early admission to the event until September 1, are available now at www.forestcitycomicon.ca and at selected stores in London.
