Forest City ComiCon is set to return next weekend on Saturday, June 24 at Centennial Hall.  The eighth-annual event features cosplay, a full exhibitor floor, panels & presentations, and special appearances by celebrity guests.

The featured guest this year is Stefan Kapicic who is best known to fans for his role as the iconic X-Men character “Colossus” in the record-breaking and Golden Globe nominated Marvel/Fox feature films Deadpool and Deadpool 2 and recently announced to be appearing in Deadpool 3.  Fans will also catch him in the upcoming horror / fantasy film “The Last Voyage of the Demeter”.

Additional celebrity guests include Ivan Sherry who is best known for voicing the rebooted Inspector Gadget, Dracula in Season 2 of Hotel Transylvania – The Series, and Old Bennett in the new series Saving Me, as well as roles in many other cartoons, and Kelsey Flower known for his role as Lance in the Netflix Zombie series “Black Summer”.

Mike Del Mundo is the featured comic artist.  Del Mundo is best known for his work on Star Wars, X-Men, Thor, Deadpool, Avengers, and Spider Man.

An additional highlight at the event includes the return of the 404s Improv Comedy, with two showings at the event as well as the all-new Idol Showcase.  There will also be Nintendo Switch Super Smash & Mario Kart Tournaments presented by Game on Entertainment Services.

The Cosplay Contest is an annual highlight where participants show off their amazing costume creations.  It hits the main stage at 4:30 pm.

Tickets for the event are available online at www.ForestCityComiCon.ca, at LA Mood Comics and Games, or at the door the day of the event.  Doors at the event open at 10:00 am for advanced tickets, 10:15 am for new ticket purchases.
