Kenny, Spenny, Gray, & Lee: Unusual Quartet of Canadians coming to Forest City Comicon September

The award-winning Canadian comedic duo of Kenny Hotz & Spencer Rice (Kenny vs Spenny) with artist Tony Gray and Canadian Entertainment Hall of Fame hypnosis entertainer Tony Lee are the latest string of guests to be announced for the Forest City Comicon featuring Project Play. The event will take place at the London Convention Centre on September 23, 2017.

This unusual ‘Quartet of Canadians’ is appearing as part of a cross-country tour to promote their upcoming projects having joined forces to produce two independent comic book publications including ‘Lou & Blue’, written by Kenny Hotz and illustrated by Tony Gray and ‘Hypno-Twist’, where Spencer Rice and Tony Lee join their creative minds to produce a book that harkens back to the early irreverence fond in underground comics of the 60’s and 70’s.

Fans will also be able to catch the Hypno-Twist live show based on the comic book series featuring Tony Lee and Spencer “Spenny”.  The show uses Tony Lee’s stunning hypnotist abilities in a show revolving around iconic super heroes.  Pulling audience members on stage, Tony will outfit them in cosplay and turn into their favourite super heroes, but with hilarious twists. Spenny will appear in character from the Hypno-Twist comic, who is the most suggestible man Tony has ever worked with.   The show is G-Rated for all-ages and included with admission.

The artist behind the comic books, Tony Gray, is a Canadian-born comic book writer and illustrator. He has worked on comic books, syndicated comic strips and character designs for companies which include, DC Comics, GlassMonkey Studios, Hasbro and Chrysler. Gray has illustrated works featuring characters as widely diverse as Batman, Spider-man, Red Sonja, and Princess Lollipop.

Hotz, Rice, Gray, and Lee join the roster with previously announced guests: Jeff Lemire (Secret Path) and Amber Nash (Archer). Tickets for the event are available now at advanced pricing at www.forestcitycomicon.ca or in stores in London at Heroes Comics, L.A. Mood Comics & Games, Uber Cool Stuff, and Neo Tokyo.
