The fourth installment of the wildly popular downtown event event is set to run at the London Convention Centre on Saturday, September 23. “PUNISHER! CONTROL” That’s right, the legend, Wink Yahoo (Scott Yaphe) from YTV’s 90s game show “UhOh!” is coming to Forest City Comicon! – – Get your tickets now “UhOh!: Live”, a convention version of the original show, is included with your admission!
After graduating from Ryerson University, Yaphe joined the cast of YTV’s sketch comedy show ‘It’s Alive!’, which lasted three seasons. When the show ended, his beloved character Wink Yahoo was granted his own series entitled ‘Uh-Oh!’. The wacky, slime-filled game show aired from 1997-2003 on YTV following the network’s “The Zone” programming block.
In addition to his work on YTV, voice and commercial work keep Scott busy. He spent 7 years as the voice of Rogers Sportsnet and 4 years as the Promo Voice of SUN TV. He has appeared in dozens of memorable commercials. Scott has most recently voiced the role of “Lucky” in the 3D animated feature film, “The Nut Job” and is currently shooting Guillermo Del Toro’s adaptation of his vampire horror novel, “The Strain”, playing the role of Sledge. He has also had supporting roles on TMN Canada’s ‘Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures’ and Global/ABC’s ‘Rookie Blue’ and had recurring roles on both Disney XD’s ‘Aaron Stone’ and Warner Television’s ‘Unnatural History’. Yaphe has also shared the big screen with Jennifer Love Hewitt in the Jackie Chan film, The Tuxedo, and with two-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank in the Amelia Earhart biopic, Amelia. He can also be seen in the film, STAG, starring Donald Faison (Scrubs), Eva Amurri (Californication) and Jon Dore (The Jon Dore Show) on TMN in Januray 2014.
